May Wanderings (2022)

Hello fellow adventurer! 🧙

I don’t know about you, but I’m loving the spring weather. The garden has begun to come alive with flowers (and some butterflies!🦋) and I’ve been able to write outdoors lately. I've also been out walking in the woods to see what plants are coming up this year. One of my favorite spots is hidden a short way off of the main path. Through the trees there's a small clearing, and every spring, this grove becomes absolutely overrun with hundreds of violets! It's an amazing sight, and a great place to pick a bunch. 😊💜

Sitting amongst the flowers in this enchanted grove is what inspired the piece I'm working on right now! So far, I'm working on writing out the sheet music, and after that part is done, I'll record and create the audio version to share with you on this blog! For now, I'll leave you with a few measures of the woodwind section as a pre-view. 😉🎵
