August Wanderings

Greetings friend!! 🧝‍♀️ I hope your week is off to a good start 💜

This past weekend I went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival, which was so much fun! I have lots of photos to share with you, but first I wanted to let you know that NEW MUSIC has been uploaded for early listeners (such as your magical self) on YouTube!! 🥳

It's my first 'autumn' video of the year, and includes a lovely new intro animation that is also by Camren. Look at those leaves! 🍂

This music takes place in the same kingdom as 'Beneath The Earth', so you'll hear some familiar sounds...

But while 'Beneath The Earth' is an exploration of wonders hidden deep below (gems, crystal caverns, ores), 'Harvest Festival' celebrates the earth's more above ground treasures, like golden fields, crisp apples, and bright pumpkins, which I tried to represent musically with a warmer sound. Let me know what you think! 💜

Now on to the aforementioned photos and general faire shenanigans:

First thing I did on arrival that morning was explore all the shops! You already know I enjoy making fantasy jewelry, art, and crafts, so it was incredibly inspiring to see so many similar things in one place 😊 I was especially excited about the tea shop!! 🫖

It took me all day to visit every vendor, as well as hear the live music, watch the jousting, eat some yummy treats at the mermaid cafe, and see everyone's awesome costumes! There was everything from mushroom hatted pixies, to steampunk adventurers, to gothic vampires, to swashbuckling pirates, and I loved every minute of it, lol! 💜
