July Wanderings

Greetings adventurers! ⚔️✨

Now that we're well into summer (or winter if you're in the southern hemisphere), I hope you've been having a good season. A lot happened in the last month for me, both happy and sad, so July is feeling like it will be a bit of an energy refresh. As always, I found grounding in both music and art. Which leads us to the video for this month!

The mouse knight is the smallest adventurer but one of the bravest! He wields a sword made from the hand of an old clock and wears a cloak made of autumn leaves. Where do you think his journey through the woods will lead him? 🍂
I wanted his musical theme to be very steadfast and resolute to match his spirit, so I prioritized a single melody line that grows in intensity rather than multiple lines of counterpoint. The video art I drew with color pencil, which is not a medium I use as often as watercolor paint, but I thought it would lend itself well to the vibrant storybook feeling I was going for.
